The other thing you may want to look into is a track saw. You can get them from , Grizzly, etc. They are pretty flexible for making nice straight line cuts, and you can make the track as long as you want. Their max cut is still a little over 2" usually. It might be a better option if space is a concern.

Here is what stood out to me. The Table size on the G6760 is 7-7/8" x 35-3/4" while the table size on the G3617 is 9-1/2" x 39-3/8". The G6760 has a vertical spindle while G3617 has both a horizontal and a vertical spindle (with a separate motor for each). Travel on the G6760: # Table travel (longitudinal): 20-1/2".
