The atlas horizontal mill powerfeed used zamack gears so if it reached the end of the travel it stripped the gears and did not break anything more expensive. My Harrison lathe has at least one phenolic gear in the gear train for the same reason.

The one I have is the one that mounts horizontally & is the same one for the RF-30/31. The drive unit is the same as the one you first linked except it's setup for horizontal use, rapid switch is remote mounted on the bracket. Mill/drills don't have the room for the power feed to be mounted verically like on knee mills.
